+<para>In variablelists, the <tag>listitem</tag>
+is indented to leave room for the 
+<tag>term</tag> elements. That indent may be computed
+if it is not specified with a <tag class="attribute">termlength</tag>
+attribute on the <tag>variablelist</tag> element.
