<title>Installation of Gzip</title>

<para>Prepare Gzip for compilation:</para>

<para>The <command>gzexe</command> script has the location of the
<command>gzip</command> binary hard-wired into it. Because we later change
the location of the binary, the following command ensures that the new
location gets placed into the script:</para>

<para>Compile the package:</para>

<screen><userinput>make</userinput></screen>

<para>Install the package:</para>
